A2.2 — Dutch language course
This course is designed for learners who already have A2.1 — the midpoint of level A2 — and want to reach a full, confident A2 level.
Over 12 weeks, you will continue developing all core skills — reading, grammar, listening, writing, and speaking — while expanding your vocabulary and mastering the grammar required to communicate independently in Dutch and successfully pass the inburgeringsexamen.
The course covers practical and socially relevant themes such as housing, traffic and directions, the city, Dutch society, history, seasons and weather, nature, travel, school and work, education, and even basic politics. You will learn key grammar topics including possessive pronouns, prepositions, fixed-preposition verbs, negation (geen/niet), men, the imperfectum, the perfectum, irregular verbs, past tense with hebben and zijn, the imperative, separable verbs, zijn aan het…, and om…te structures.
By the end of the course, you will be able to express yourself clearly in everyday situations, describe experiences, give instructions, talk about past events, understand main ideas of longer conversations, and interact more independently in Dutch society. Completing the program will bring you to a strong A2 level, fully prepared for the inburgeringsexamen.
